The administrative district Ansbach in the region Middle Franconia is the largest administrative district of the federal state Bavaria. Managed is the district in the eponymous city Ansbach. Originated from mergers of former principalities and imperial cities are in the district today many well-known and economically as well as touristically important regions of Bavaria. Of the formerly 81 communities that were originally located in the administrative district, there are only a few administrative ones today, but they are the reason for the very large area of the district. This large area also results in many very good traffic connections.
