The district of Donau-Ries in the north of the region of Swabia is located in the federal state of Bavaria with more than 40 cities, municipalities and administrative districts. This is reflected in the large area of the district. With more than 90 designated conservation areas and similar areas, the nature of many places is unchanged and protected, which makes the district interesting for tourists. In addition, the district is dominated by agriculture, livestock and their processing industry. Many places within the county have retained their original character and appearance. A typical urbanization is therefore less likely to be found.
