The district of Germersheim in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate is located in the south-east of Germany. It is managed by the homonymous city of Germersheim. The district consists of 31 individual municipalities, including only two cities (Germersheim and Wörth am Rhein). Thanks to its location on the River Rhine, many villages are connected to the shipping traffic, which also benefits tourism. Besides this the district is dominated by agriculture, housing and local economy.
