The district of Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg consists of 14 cities, municipalities and administrative districts. Managed is the district in the homonymous city of Heidenheim. Located in the natural region "Swabian Alb" almost 50% of the area of ​​the district consists of forest and green areas with many nature reserves.
