The city of Rosenheim - administration of the district of the same name - is located in the state of Bavaria and in the foothills of the Alps. Despite its relatively small population, it is one of the largest cities in the Upper Bavaria region. In addition to flourishing tourism, Rosenheim is known primarily for the woodworking industry. It is also considered a shopping center of the entire region. Rosenheim is also home to one of the most successful ice hockey teams in Germany.
