The city situated at the small river "wild hog" is known for its worldwide unique geological features. One can find the traces of all geological eras here. The city hosts many traditional attractions such as a museum of local history ore one of the oldest bells in Saxony with engravings. It is also home to the second largest narrow gauge railway station in Europe. Thanks to the good transport links Wilsdruff is part of an economically strong region with employment rates above the national average.
