Döblen in the district of Mittelsachsen is located between the cities of Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig and is already mentioned already around 800 AD. Döblen is also known as "Stiefelstadt" through its long and traditional shoemaker industry. Döblen also owes the largest historical boots mentioned in the Guinness book to the record, which is almost 700 years old and nearly 5 meters high. Because of its long existence and well-kept tradition, Döblen with many historical places and events is mainly of tourist interest nowadays.
