In the heart of the city, the market square, the Geopark Information Center attracts numerous half-timbered houses. It offers the possibility to embark on a journey through time through the earth history of the Braunschweiger Land. The Elm, one of the largest and most beautiful beech forests in Northern Germany, is situated right in front of the city gates.
