Geography: North Rhine-Westphalia is located in the west of Germany, bordering Belgium and the Netherlands. It is the most populous state in Germany and one of the biggest. The capital is Dusseldorf but the largest city is Cologne.

Culture: One of Germany's biggest attractions is the Cologne Cathedral, which attracts around six million visitors each year. In addition, the region is known for the carniva. Every year, in February and November there will be a huge celebration in colorful costumes on the streets. There are also many clubs to join to celebrate together.

Economy: NRW was previously known as "land of coal and steel" due to the industrialists embossing. Today, this industry branch has become less important. Nevertheless, some of the largest companies, such as Deutsche Telekom AG or the German Post have their headquarters in this state.
