Geography: Saxony-Anhalt is a medium-sized state in the middle of Germany. The largest cities are the state capital Magedburg and Halle (Saale). The land is mostly flat beside the Harz mountain range.
Culture: In addition to Baveria Saxony-Anhalt has the most UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Germany including many castles. The country is also home to the famous bibel translator Martin Luther.
Economy: In the past mainly dominated by chemical industry, heavy engineering and mining nowadays agriculture is of the greatest importance for the state.
